East European Tour

12/6/04 to 30/6/04

Here's the diary.

Here's a set of photos taken from the tour.

Initial Brief

Visit all the 10 new EU countries and have a pint in each.

The 10 new EU countries:

  • Czech Republic
  • Cyprus
  • Estonia
  • Hungary
  • Latvia
  • Lithuania
  • Malta
  • Poland
  • Slovakia
  • Slovenia

Malta and Cyprus will have to wait for another time - we'll stick to the eight contiguous countries.

Tourist Travelling

While travel within the EU is mostly passport-free under the Schengen agreement, west Europeans travelling to a new EU state like Hungary will still have to present their passports to border police.
