SDR# (read SDR Sharp) [Software Defined Radio] is a PC-based DSP application for Software Defined Radio. The code is mostly in C#, but can achieve reasonable performance. The main purpose is to offer a simple proof of concept application to get ones hands into DSP techniques.
Since initial development of my SDR radio - Youssef has made a complete rewrite. The current object model is engineered to allow extensions via plugins (Filters, Detectors/Demodulators, etc.), which is the main target. (Something like VST.)
SoftRock (Si570) Support has been added.
The source code can be found here: http://code.google.com/p/sdrsharp/ where you'll also find the latest runtime.
There's a newsgroup: http://groups.google.com/group/sdrsharp Please join.
Thanks Youssef!
SDR# runs on Microsoft Windows with .NET Framework 2.0 installed. (If you need .NET Framework 2.0, Google for "Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 Redistributable Package and install it.")
Download the SDR compressed file containing the
program. Currently
there's 3 DLLs and and one EXE. Copy them all to a folder, and run
"SDRSharp.exe".
There's no other installation process.
Either download and play an SDR IQ WAV file, or use a Software Defined Radio connected to your PC sound card.
The following image is a screen shot. SDR# does not run in a web browser. Clicking on the image will be futile.

A good set of amateur radio IQ wav files...

ensemble_rx_ii The Ensemble RX LF/HF kit and its 4.5" x 2" board represents the culmination of a long line of Softrock SDR receivers.
